February touring trip will take place on sat21st February. On the Caldon Canal
Meet at - 10:30 am
To be on the water for 11:00am
Approx total distance 5.7km , with a stop for food /drink .
Directions - leave leek on the A53 towards stoke on Trent . Turn left at The Wheel pub onto Sutherland Road-

Continue down until you reach a hump backed bridge over the canal . (Bridge 6, horse bridge)
Drop boats there , leave on canal bank .

Car parking is further along that road ,over a second bridge ( bridge number 39 wall grange) and turn immediately right . Park up onto the road , by the canal bank .

This is a lovely paddle , we have a 2 aqueducts to go over , and then down the locks , under the aqueduct, and onto Cheddleton Flint mill (if the conditions are good ) and back to the cars .
There is a portage down 3 locks , please bring wheels
Hopefully the pub on route will be open - The Holly Bush Inn
For us to partake of a drink and a snack .
I will meet you there , as I don’t think I’ll be fit to paddle . I’ll see nearer the time . Mark will be on the water .
