Happy New Paddling Year to you all! I went for a walk along the canal today and, in places, the ice is still very solid so we're delaying our first Hare & Hounds of the year to 18th January 2026. Please sign up as usual. I'm not around then but Andrew has volunteered to do the timekeeping.
Generally we're keeping to our second Sunday of the month but to avoid clashes with local races (see earlier post) we're moving a few. The changed dates are: Sunday 3rd May, Sunday 5th July and Sunday 6th September.
So we can award prizes at the end of the year we ask each paddler for £10 per year or £1.50 per event.

Many thanks to Andrew for timekeeping on Sunday, under grim conditions (he says!) And well done to the 15 paddlers who braved the weather, especially Feryal in first place, Adrian second and Cody third. All times and placings are now on the club's racing page. As it is January all handicaps have been adjusted as will everyone else's the first time they paddle this year. Otherwise they are only adjusted when you record a better time.
Next H&H is on Sunday 8th February See you then!
