We met as usual last week on 12th February,
Three key points to share:
1. We agreed the dates for our Monday evening sessions at Bollington and our Thursday evenings at Brereton, a little later than usual this year due to Bank Holidays and Coach commitments,
Bollington starts: - 28th April 2025, last session 1st September
Brereton starts: - 1st May 2025, last session 4th September
2. Fraser has offered to put together a structured training programme for an introduction to Sea Kayaking, he will be working with other experienced club paddlers. Over 4 weeks at Brereton and with a couple of Sea Trips this would be suitable for beginners and intermediate paddlers looking to reinforce their core skills.
3. One of our aims as a club is to encourage members to become independent paddlers, part of this is to paddle with other like minded club members and other paddlers outside organised club activities. Often these peer paddles are organised through WhatsApp and other social media chanels. If you are organising your own peer paddles and open to other people joining you please consider how you might communicate this to other club members possibly through this forum or the Facebook group.
